OUTSOURCING SERVICES

THE SCAN GROUP

NEEDS ASSESSMENT FORM

As you know, AIA has grown into the leading specialist in supplying equipment and technology for digital imaging. We intend to continue in that direction.

Now, we want you to know that we have started a new group within AIA devoted to outsourcing and facilities management. AIA has always provided quality service and products at competitive rates, and our new SCAN GROUP will adhere to these principles.

Rather than reinvent the wheel, AIA has joined forces with an experienced and well equipped company, Boston Photographic Imaging, and an equally well established and recognized provider on the West Coast, Ben Blackwell/Guyer Studios. Both companies will become totally integrated into AIA in terms of customer service, job tracking, estimates and quotes, consultations, and billing.

We plan to concentrate on two specific services:

OUTSOURCING - many special collections or projects cannot be scanned in house because they cannot be cost justified or they exceed the current inhouse capabilities. In these cases the materials are sent to our Boston or Bay Area facilities. There they are received in and re-inventoried, stored with heat, humidity, and security accounted for, handled with the curatorial concern you would expect, and scanned using the best available technology for your job. Of equal importance, there will be emphasis on customer service, communications at all stages of the project, and special attention to quality control procedures that ensure your specifications are clearly seen in the final product.

FACILITIES MANAGEMENT - in the advent that transporting material is too risky, we bring our equipment and staff to scan at your facilitiy. The Scan Group can also provide equipment, training and workflow procedures for your staff, and provide on-going supervision and project management. A unique feature of this service is structuring a contract which gives you the option of keeping the equipment and technology at the completion of the project.

Your responses are confidential. We will only contact you if you make that request, and we will return our basic recommendations and comments to you within a few days.
