AIAXACT V/H Dual Copy/Repro WorkStation shown in the V or vertical position
Designed by AIA as a simple solution for those using large format digital backs, this unit provides the ultimate in flexibility and versatility. It is the Swiss Army knife of a full digital studio/lab.
In it's V or vertical configuration it acts as a "normal" planetary (lens points down) repro capture system. Make it a book scanner by placing a book cradle of the work surface, or a transparency scanner by placing a light box on the work surface.
Want to use longer lenses to capture art, and still enjoy the ease of use of a V system (place art down and move it around with aid of gravity)? Just make the conversion. Move the camera column from the back to the front. Rotate the geared camera head to H (horizontal) position (like shooting off the wall), move your light stands to an appropriate position (on dolly wheels). Place your artwork in position, and turn on the vacuum easel to hold the artwork in place. Now, either press a button (motorized unit), or pull a lever (manual) and the work surface will elevate and then flip over to a horizontal position.
A 16 ft canvas needs to be digitized. Do you have to go to a gallery to capture it? No problem. Just wheel your lights and the camera stand to the location and shoot off the wall or down on a flat clean floor.
AIAXact VH Copy/Repro Systems come in two configurations:
