Better Light 4000E
Work with 4x5 view cameras or special AIAXact 45 Reflex cameras and lenses. Focus and compose normally on the ground glass and insert the Better Light scan back just like a film holder. After a 16-bit prescan is made preview the image using the included software on the computer monitor. This allows you to optimize conditions for the best shot before you capture it.
The E-models are scan backs use re-cycled tri-linear CCD and video cards from units which have been upgraded, but carry a full 2 year warranty, and like other BL Scan Backs can be upgraded at anytime buy paying the difference between the current retail price and the current retail price of the new unit you desire. The E-models have all of the same features as the previous model 4000 and 6000 scan backs: resolution settings are independent of ISO; the sensitivity range is 100 to 1600 ISO, adjustable in 1/10 f-stop increments; a dedicated hard drive for image storage; fast prescans generated in as little as eight seconds and both cameras include camera control software with AIAXact factory installed presets for use in libraries and museums, and customized cookbook like documentation that integrated camera operation to actual workflow. This allows operation by , librarians, staff, work study students, GAO's, and other non-professionals photographers (Value Added for AIA).
