The P-51 CamLift is inspired by the famous "North American P-51 Mustang." The Mustang was referred to by the pilots who flew her as the "Cadillac of the Sky." Fast, nimble, and a pleasure to fly, the Mustang went on to dominate the skies over Europe during the end of WWII, making this plane a tribute to "Good Old American Ingenuity."

Like the legendary P-51, our CamLift is designed from the ground up to be as rugged and dependable as it is precise. It is built from solid aircraft aluminum and hand assembled in the USA to exacting specifications. Its overbuilt physical design combined with state-of-art electronics and computer interface yields what many consider to be the perfect blend of form and function.

The Visionary Digital™ P-51 CamLift serves as a platform to support the camera and microscope, and is also a true precision lab grade linear actuator. The P-51 has solid braced uprights made of hardened ¾ inch diameter steel. The rest of the components are expertly machined from solid 60/61 high grade aluminum to exacting specifications. The aluminum is finished off with a super tough binary powder coat that is cured at over 300 degrees. The finish is black with a very fine texture that is non reflective.

Visionary Digital’s newly designed micro stepping motor with optical feed-back incorporates a simple user definable lower stop position. It is very quiet thanks to the Teflon coated drive and harmonic isolators. The P-51 can run the camera and microscope up or down quickly or allows the operator to choose up to nine user-definable step movements. The software interface is preloaded with all the step sizes that coincide with the depth of field of the lenses used in the system. This allows the user to take advantage of compositing software (also included), to quickly obtain a fully in-focus image when the desired depth of field just isn’t possible. The factory set vertical resolution allows single movements up or down as small as 6.0 microns!

The Visionary Digital™ P-51 Cam-Lift is proudly crafted in the USA and has a purposely overbuilt look because it is overbuilt. Its accuracy and smooth operation will be consistent and trouble free for many years to come.

The height of the P-51 is 35.5 inches and its base is only 8 inches wide. It comes ready to mount on the included powder coated steel base plate with inner core, measuring three feet wide by two feet deep by ¾ inch thick. The P-51 also has its own harness for the wiring coming from the camera keeping that part neat and out of sight.

The P-51 CamLift’s univeral power supply operates on 110/240 50-60hz.
