For Libraries, Archives, Museums & Scientific Institutions
Quality of an image begins with exposing the film. Whether you photograph a flat field or one with depth, all your images will be better if your view camera standards are parallel to each other with the same accuracy found in small and medium formats.
To take full advantage of digital photography's capabilities for copying flat art, you should pay careful attention to all three planes of the imaging system. Zig-align makes the only systems for checking parallelism that match the accuracy and performance of digital systems such as Better Light. In short, using Zig-align is insurance. It protects your investment.
The plate in the ZP series duplicates weight as well as fulcrum for weight distribution of a Better Light scan back, and it eliminates disassembly of the camera when checking parallelism of the film/CCD standard to copy. This is the quickest and easiest way to check that pair.
